TOURS & ADVENTURES AROUND SAMANA

DAY TRIPS

El Limon Waterfalls:
Nestled deep in a thick palm forest, this stunning waterfall rises 275 m above sea level and cascades 45 m into a deep pool. You can also go on horseback for the day.

Whale Watching Cruise:
From January through March, departing from the Samana harbour, you can catch a quick glimpse of the humpback whales when they rise to the surface during mating season.

White Water Rafting:
Let the white caps of the Yaque del Norte river, the longest in the Caribbean, take you for a ride. A professional guide will steer you through the canyons and rapids.

Deep Sea Fishing:
From Las Terrenas, you are able to board for a few hours of deep sea fishing, and if you are lucky, you may come back with a marlin, a tuna, a mahi-mahi or, who knows, even a shark?

Boat Trips:
We can organize tours on any type of boat, depending on your requirements. We can also put you in touch with the proper agencies for you to rent the kind of boat you like.

Los Haitises National Park:
One of the highlights of any trip to the Dominican Republic is Los Haitises. Sail around the dramatic rock islands, tour limestone caves and grottoes, and much more!

Zipline Samana:
Zipline through the rain forest of the Samaná Peninsula. You can also catch a glimpse of many types of birds that live in our tropical oasis: woodpeckers, nightingales, etc.

Boca Del Diablo:
The “Mouth Of The Devil” is a fascinating blowhole / vent. Waves roar up the channel and blast out from a hole in the rocks. Make sure to have your camera ready – what a sight!

BEACHES

Cayo Levantado:
Dubbed Bacardi Island, this tiny green isle once starred in one of the drink’s adverts. With its coconut-white sands, turquoise-blue seas and nodding palm trees, it’s paradise.

Playa Rincon:
Explore the Samana Peninsula on an ATV / Quad tour of the Dominican Republic’s most beautiful beach. You can choose to have a local tour guide accompany you as well.

Playa Las Terrenas:
This beach is very popular for kite surfers, especially at sunset. An identifying feature is the clumps of coral along the coast – making it not a great spot for snorkeling.

Playa Las Galeras:
A unique aspect of Playa Las Galeras is the large grassy area with palm trees; it is great for shade. You can buy fresh fish out of the water and have Rosy cook it for you!
